Amp Up Your Core

A friend once told me, ” your core strength is the most important because it is the center of your power source.”

I have added this routine daily to make a difference in my core strength. There are so many variations and excercises to build muscle! This is mine for the week! Try it out and let me know how it works for you.

1 min plank

1 min plank dips

1 minute side plank dips (each side)

1 minute Boat pose

50 Bicycle crunches

Repeat up to 3 times. You know your body, your willingness to persist, and when to take a quick break.

As you may know, Abs are made in the kitchen! So.. pair this with eating lots of fruits and veggies. Stay hydrated, and avoid anything that doesn’t align you with your personal goals.

Channeling Your Chi

Have you ever woke up with that sense of lightness and the feeling of energy flowing immediately.  It feels like the weight of the world has been lifted off your bones and now rests gently at your fingertips.  I never could find the words within me, an explanation behind this, but I craved the sensation. Similar to electricity in my veins, but more fluid. It’s like everything in my being is in alignment with life itself.  That feeling is the power of CHI

CHI

Call it what you will: chi, mana, prana. It is the life force within each and every being. Your personal vibration. Tuning into this life force is the essential key to harnessing a powerful force within you.  A force so strong that it manifests through everything else you do. Tapping into awareness of these frequencies requires maintaining and raising consciousness through your life. Believe it or not, it actually radiates around you, creating a sensational field of energy around you.

 

I began noticing what brought a lightness to my life. I took mental note as to what I needed to create this space to allow the chi to flow.  It became clear that the only way to keep my slate clean and ready for each moment was to sit and mediate. To choose to respectfully make the time to allow the present moment to work.  Breath work is the most simple and effective way to begin to channel your chi. I am constantly scanning my mind,body, and soul. I take each inhale and exhale to open the channels. I use to breath like yin and yang. As if on a cellular level, I am allowing all the essential nutrients in, and expelling all the unnecessary thoughts,stories, stresses. Find the balance in between the light and shadow side.

The other important practice to channeling your chi is the physical. In my personal experience, this practice is asanas of yoga. It helps me to manifest the power with my bones, muscles, joints to access all the stale energy to create new sparks every day of freshness. Each asana represents something different, releasing and manifesting. Just the same as inhale and exhale with the breath. Find a physical practice that does the same for you. With this practice, always remember that it is a sacred place for you to come to at any time without judgement and competition.

Like most things in life, it will not always be easy. You may not always want to create the space out of fear or blocks in the mind.  The most encouraging concept is the one that all energy cannot be added or deleted, but transformed. Switching from negative to positive. Renewing and channeling your power to higher potentials.

Ask yourself these questions:

What is draining you of your internal life force? Relationship,job,financial stress,material obsession, striving for perfection?

What makes you vibrate higher and louder? Passion, connection, alone time?

Do you take the time that is necessary to keep the channels open in your mind, body and soul?

With everything else in life, channeling your chi takes time to learn. Be patient with yourself. Be open. Be honest with yourself. Feel your chi release, and let the vibes flow.
